Devlog #6: busy, busy and more busy

sup peeps ( ➖ー➖)

i have to say…last couple of months were a bit craaazy. the team has been so busy handling all the preparation for the attendance to Gamescom and then BCN Game Fest and all the coverage of the events, that we ended up taking a loooong break after that. i haven’t even touched my phone in the last 2 weeks….bleak times. autumn passed by like a breeze, and the fam went on a big getaway to somewhere more sunny. the bad news is that Bart and his parents came with us. i´m still mad he had the nerve to sneak around my computer and mess with the previous devlog. i guess what they say about not putting your birthday as a password is right… or having that be the only one you use ☠︎ now i’m better though, my password has freaky squigly signs in it. aaanyways, all that was no excuse for Bart. we had a serious discussion, where he kind of apologised… that I felt like he did something bad. well, it doesn’t matter, cuz he let me borrow his super expensive camera to make up for it, and i guess it’s been a while since his last intrusion. I’m about to bombard u with the most fantastic nature photos, live from the Park

this week, the devs kept messaging me about all the wonderfully complicated and endless chain of little things they did. there are so many things to chit chat about, that i will mostly let them do the talking today.

Debut Festival

We have been excited to say we participated and were showcased, along with other new and fresh studios, in the Debut Festival event on Steam. It’s all in the name - it’s been great to get the opportunity to show our game and celebrate other up-and-comping studios making their first game.

New Focus Zoom

We have been working hard in providing new ways to interact with the world through the zoom function. This will be implemented to work with the audio and music, and give you a new approach to solving the puzzles.

Control Pop-ups

There have been a lot of tweaks and implementations lately in an effort to enhance the user experience, and our new control pop-ups have finally been upgraded , allowing for even more control types, including Steam Deck.

Concept art and Textures

We finally finished the models and textures for our previously announced new couple, Caroline and Alison, which you will find passionately taking pictures around the park. We also have new designs for the flowers, giving more variety and style cohesion while keeping the pixelated look.

ahhh this makes me want to test out Bart’s camera even moreee. i need to get out of the house more. taking pictures of the same 3 corners around the house is not cutting it anymore. i’m sure i can go back to the park one of these days and take a pic of the Well. bet that would do very good on the socials. oh, speaking of flowers, now the bluebells look more bell-like... but are they more blue? (╭ರ_•́) we’ll leave this question to the philosophers

Gamescom

Gamescom has been a big endeavor full of opportunities and feedback, and we have spent the following weeks switching between updating contacts, looking for meetings, enhancing the pitchdeck and answering LinkedIn messages. We met a lot of cool people and learned a lot in refining our pitchdeck, as well as our long-term plans and goals.

BCN Gamefest

BCN Gamefest

Barcelona Game Fest has been an amazing experience, and it was wonderful to have met all the people who showed interest in our game and stopped by. We took some time to decorate our booth accordingly, pitch our game to more publishers and received so much helpful feedback.

New Business Cards

In preparation for all these events, we went a step further and designed our brand new custom BIG STRETCH business cards.

yooo this looks pretty neat. how come i have not received mine yet? i haven’t even gotten one of those cute stickers yet. people in this team need to really get their priorities straight fr fr

well, its been nice to talk to y´all. imma head out for band rehearsal, but be prepared to hear again from us very soon
